2014 is going to be a hot year for Chevrolet who has already released photos and details of the 2014 Silverado and the 2014 Corvette Stingray. Add another ground-breaking Chevy to the mix as the 2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel debuts at the Chicago Auto Show.
Aside from diesel trucks like the Silverado, Americans tend to shy away from diesel. However, this trend could soon be changing as diesel fuel proves to be a cleaner combustible than most people think. Chevrolet thinks now is the time to bust the “dirty diesel” bubble that the U.S. is in and introduce a diesel sedan that everyone can love.
The new diesel-powered Cruze will achieve better gas mileage than the current Cruze ECO and automotive experts estimate it will get at least 50 MPG on the highway. This could entice Americans who want to save on fuel (and the environment) without buying a hybrid or an electric car.
Chevy plans to roll out the Cruze Eco-d towards the end of this eyar to dealerships all around the United States. For more information on arrival dates of the Cruze Diesel, visit Fred Caldwell Chevrolet.
