According to the York County website, one of the most popular upcoming events is the Underexposed Film Festival. Held at the Gettys Art Center Courtroom in Rock Hill in mid-November, this event is two days of independent films. Several of the top short films from Sundance, Cannes, and Tribeca appear at the festival, making it a great location to visit if you can’t fly to distant film fests.
Another popular event is the Catawba Indian Craft Fair. Held at the Catawba Indian Reservation, this annual craft fair lets you purchase a range of handmade crafts, view drumming and dancing demonstrations, and more. Everything is arranged by the Native American community, promoting education and cultural diversity in the area.
