The Chevy Silverado High Desert Package was recently revealed, set to hit the market sometime in the fall. Based on a concept vehicle, this package is available on the LT, LTZ, and High Country trim levels. With refined engineering and a great look, everyone is going to want the new High Desert Package.
Chevrolet announced that this package will come with an all-new cargo system, Magnetic Ride Control for added comfort, and a refined exterior. The cargo system will be lockable and water resistant, while the exterior adds options like 20- or 22-inch wheels, available all-terrain tires, and more.
“The High Desert package blends the capability and utility of Silverado with the refinement and luxury of Suburban,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet truck marketing. “It’s ideal for those customers who want both the security of a lockable cargo area, as well as the flexibility of a pickup truck bed.”
Magnetic Ride Control will also be offered on the High Desert Package, a suspension that allows for precise motion control. Reading the road every five milliseconds, this system is designed to be virtually flawless. Paired with a EcoTec3 6.2-liter V8 and a Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission, the High Desert Silverado is bound to impress virtually any truck owner.
