#DayItForward Campaign is Chevy’s Way of Doing Something Nice on Leap Day

Chevrolet celebrated the leap year in an unusual way by launching the #DayItForward campaign, a collaborative effort between communities, celebrities, and dealers to perform “acts of unanticipated kindness” to those who need it. The idea was simple: we have an extra 24 hours—let’s use it to do something nice.

Chevy even managed to get some big names to support its movement:

  • Kevin Spacey, an award-winning actor and philanthropist, surprised Diontae Simpson with a grant that will help him pursue his dream of performing in dramas.
  • Eva Longoria, an award-winning actress and philanthropist, performed a good deed for Elvia Barboa to acknowledge her commitment to improving the quality of life of children with cancer.
  • Daniel Norris of the Detroit Tigers, a thyroid cancer survivor and major league pitcher, spent a day at the ballpark with a young fan currently battling the same disease.

Even if you missed #DayItForward, it’s never too late to perform an act of kindness. We highlight someone in the local community who performs random acts of kindness on our Facebook.
