Who doesn’t love an easy DIY project? Whether it’s the satisfaction of doing something yourself, the money you save, or the process of learning something new, there are plenty of tasks, crafts, and projects you can take on yourself.
When it comes to cars, the term DIY can seem overwhelming. For people unfamiliar with their cars, the thought of getting under the hood can be intimidating, but we’ve come up with a few DIY car repairs that anyone can tackle.
Next time your car needs some TLC, try your hand at tackling the task yourself, and learn a little about your car in the process.
Change the oil. This is a fantastic task for someone just becoming familiar with their vehicle. There isn’t much that you can mess up, and you only need a few tools and 30 – 45 minutes of free time.
Change the Spark Plugs. Spark plugs need replacing about every 30,000 miles (check your owner’s manual). Changing them yourself is a great way to save money and time, and requires only a few tools and 20 to 30 minutes of time.
Replace the air filter. This takes no more than about ten minutes and a new replacement filter, making this an easy task for anyone to accomplish.
