The moment Camaro lovers everywhere have been waiting for is finally here. Chevrolet recently unveiled the sixth-generation Camaro earlier this month, offering consumers the fastest, most nimble—not to mention the most handsome—Camaro yet.
“Redesigning the Camaro is thrilling and challenging all at once, but the secret is to offer something more,” said Mark Reuss, General Motors’ executive vice president of Product Development. “For Camaro enthusiasts, it retains iconic design cues and offers even more performance. For a new generation of buyers, the 2016 Camaro incorporates our most innovative engineering ideas with finely honed performance and leading design.”
The new Gen Six Camaro only brings two parts from the previous model—the rear bowtie emblem and the SS badge. Everything else is newly redesigned, making it the best Camaro ever. It is 200 pounds lighter, allowing a variety of new powertrain options, including the most powerful Camaro SS powertrain ever—a 6.2-liter LT1 direct-injected Small Block V8, which generates 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque.
