When Chevrolet first introduced the Spark, it ignited the brand’s small car lineup. Now, the American carmaker is looking to keep the fire going with the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Spark dual debut. The newest model of the subcompact car is set to premiere April 2nd at two separate auto shows in Seoul, South Korea, and New York.
“The new Spark’s design has evolved and grown up with the segment,” said Michael Simcoe, GM International VP of Design. “The youthful whimsy of the original Spark is still in its genes, but it is conveyed in more traditional proportions that reinforce the customer’s refined expectations.”
Chevrolet hinted at the 2016 Spark’s new design earlier this month with a teaser image. The image highlights the model’s rounder edges, edgier bodylines, and more modern silhouette. These big changes take the Spark from being the car-next-door to the car you want in your driveway.
The subcompact Spark attracts younger and first-time car buyers to the Chevrolet brand with 26 percent of Spark drivers under age 35. For more information about the 2016 Chevrolet Spark dual debut, don’t forget to check back to Fred Caldwell Chevrolet in April!
