Chevrolet has always made safety a priority and the new 2015 Chevrolet Trax is no exception. The brand-new small SUV from the American carmaker was recently put through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration crash test gauntlet, and it came out on top. The 2015 Chevrolet Trax received a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score, showing that Chevrolet hasn’t slacked off in the safety department.
“The Trax is the perfect example of Chevrolet’s commitment to putting state of the art technology and class-leading safety features where it matters most for the customer,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president for Chevrolet.
With the new 2015 Chevrolet Trax safety rating confirmed, Chevrolet’s lineup now has the most 5-star safety rated models in the United States. Like other Chevrolet vehicles, the Trax utilizes a protective cage to keep its passengers safe. The cage is made of 66 percent high-strength steel and is accompanied by a variety of safety features, such as standard 10 air bags and a standard rearview camera.
