Chevrolet has made a move to further it’s future in electric cars with the introduction of the Chevrolet Bolt EV concept. This long-range, all-electric vehicle would be designed to offer consumers a range of over 200 miles at a price that starts around an extremely affordable $30,000.
“The Bolt EV concept is a game-changing electric vehicle designed for attainability, not exclusivity,” said General Motors CEO Mary Barra. “Chevrolet believes electrification is a pillar of future transportation and needs to be affordable for a wider segment of customers.”
The Bolt EV will most likely be marketed in all 50 states and many global markets, showing off a global appeal that will fit well within the company’s current eco-friendly lineup. To enhance range, the Bolt will allow drivers to select different operating modes depending on the type of driving they will be doing. The models adjust the vehicle ride height, suspension tuning, and accelerator pedal mapping.
