Chevrolet is so excited about the brand-new Chevrolet Volt that it can’t seem to hide it. The American carmaker gave the world a sneak peek of the redesigned hybrid car during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, ahead of the vehicle’s debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. While the 2016 Chevrolet Volt sneak peek was only 30 seconds long, it gave us a glimpse that definitely made the industry even more excited to see what’s next.
The 30 seconds went by quickly, but after this week’s real debut at the Auto Show, we finally are able to see what the new Volt is all about. The 2016 Volt boasts a menacing new front end. Chevrolet has increased the car’s intimidation factor significantly by creating an angular front fascia, smaller grille area, and wide, tilted headlights. The effect of this combination is one you wouldn’t expect from a hybrid car. The rear end swoops downward, similar to the current model Volt, making it look almost coupe-like from the side.
Since its introduction, the Volt has helped save 25 billion gallons of fuel throughout the world. Make sure you stop in to Fred Caldwell Chevrolet to see the new hybrid, charge up your current Volt, and keep an eye on our blog for more info on the new Volt as it arrives!
