Every once in awhile, a carmaker introduces a concept at an auto show that is so beloved, the brand decides to put it into production. At this year’s SEMA show, that beloved car happened to be the Chevrolet Impala Blackout concept. Now, the American automaker has decided to turn the Blackout concept car into a production model with the introduction of the Chevrolet Impala Midnight Edition.
This brand-new twist on the ever-popular Impala offers a sinister look for those desiring more ferocity. Similar to the Blackout concept, the Midnight Edition Impala features a glossy black exterior, broken up here and there by bits of chrome. Nineteen-inch aluminum wheels are set off by black outlining, while a black Bowtie symbol, black grille surround, black rear spoiler and—no surprise here—black mirror caps complete the Impala’s menacing appeal. Inside the sedan, black leather interior and an 11-speaker Bose audio system makes this special edition Impala an attractive option for any consumer.
While the upcoming Impala Midnight Edition production means it won’t arrive in dealerships until late spring, you can still visit Fred Caldwell Chevrolet and see what other personalization options Chevrolet has to offer.
