Understanding the Ignition Recall
The recent GM recall includes certain 2003-2011 model year vehicles regarding a condition with the ignition switch that could allow the switch to unintentionally shift from the “run” position to the “accessory” or “off” position. This shift could turn off the engine or most of the electrical components and could result in a reduction or complete loss in power of the vehicle.
Is your vehicle affected?
If your vehicle is affected by the recall, you should receive a notification from GM. Below is a chart detailing the affected vehicles:
