The 2014 Corvette Stingray is not just your ordinary car. Once you put that into your garage, you become a totally different driver. With so much power, performance, and history housed under one hood – it’s no wonder Chevrolet is taking us to Stingray Performance Driving School. Developed by legendary Corvette Racer Ron Fellows, Chevrolet invites all new Corvette owners to take advantage of a trip of a lifetime.
The Ron Fellows Stingray Performance Driving School is a two-day program at the Spring Mountain Motor Resort in Pahrump, Nevada. This school is made for drivers of all skill levels and participants will spend an ample amount of the program driving the all-new Stingray on a world-class 2.2-mile course.
Fellows will focus the course on the advanced elements of performance driving. He says the mind has a lot more to do with driving than the physical action of steering.
“It’s more than simply going fast and learning when to turn and apply the throttle,” recites Fellows. “Mind speed and decision-making are key elements in the high-performance world, and our car control exercises and on-track training will help drivers improve their ability to process information quickly and accurately, resulting in a better coordination of eyes, hands and feet to improve their driving skill.”
To encourage new Corvette owners to attend the course, Chevrolet is offering $1,000-$1,500 off the standard rate of the school to 2014 Stingray owners. To get behind the wheel of a new Stingray, visit Fred Caldwell Chevrolet to feel the power.
