The first month of 2014 was quite kind to the Chevrolet lineup. At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit the 2014 Corvette Stingray took home Car of the Year while the all-new Silverado collected the Truck of the Year. This proves that hard work, advanced engineering and excellent craftsmanship will always rise above the rest.
To be considered for the awards, the cars and utility vehicles must be substantially changed from the previous model year or all new. Both the Silverado and Corvette Stingray were significantly changed in the areas of style, power, and performance.
The Corvette Stingray topped both the new Cadillac CTS and Mazda3 as king of the cars. The Silverado took the crown over the new Jeep Cherokee and Acura MDX.
This marks the first time in history that one automaker has simultaneously won both the North American Car and Truck of the Year. We warned you – 2014 will be a year to remember for Chevrolet.
