Two of Chevrolet’s most acclaimed SUVs are getting a makeover for 2015. The upcoming redesign of the Tahoe and the Suburban has us looking back at the successful past of both of these full-size SUVs.
For almost 80 years the Chevy Suburban has been the go-to SUV for power and space. It has been an active member of American families since 1934. As the longest continuous automobile nameplate product in the world, how can the Suburban get any better?
The Chevy Tahoe history is much shorter but just as successful as the Suburban. The Tahoe started out as the full-size Chevy Blazer in the 1990’s. The Blazer eventually broke off into two models – Chevy S10 and the Tahoe. The Tahoe is known as the just as big but slightly more luxurious younger brother of the Suburban.
So what is new for 2015? The duo of best-selling SUVs will offer great functionality, advanced safety features, all-new technologies, and exquisite refinement. Chevy says these two plan to extend the full-size legacy that both SUVs have worked hard to build.
